THANK YOU TO THE MOLLISONS!

A Sad Farewell and a Massive Thank You 🇾🇪

In the coming weeks, Angela and Mike Mollison will leave Brisbane to begin an exciting new chapter in Melbourne, where they will be reunited with their children and grandchildren.

Over twenty-five years ago, the Mollison family arrived in Brisbane from Melbourne with no idea where they would settle. As they drove down Riding Road and caught sight of the white goalposts at Jack Esplen Oval, they knew they had found their new home.

What a home it became.

Their son Peter began his football journey at Morningside in the Under 10s and went on to become a senior captain, proudly representing the Panthers with distinction including two senior premierships and a club senior men B&F award. Their daughters, Celeste and Sophie, also grew up around Jack Esplen Oval, making the club a central part of family life for the Mollisons.

Angela and Mike have been the very definition of community volunteers. Their contribution to our club over the past quarter of a century has been extraordinary.

Mike has coached junior teams, served as Junior President, Club Director and Club Chairman, and even took a year away from work to lead the refurbishment of our clubhouse. He also played a pivotal role in securing the club’s future, dedicating countless hours over more than nine years to the planning, design and grant applications that delivered our home changerooms and the MFG complex. These transformational projects have become cornerstones of the club’s long-term sustainability and growth.

Beyond the major infrastructure projects, Mike has also been instrumental in strengthening the club’s governance, culture and organisational development.

Angela has been equally committed, serving on both junior and senior committees while volunteering tirelessly at club functions and events. Her quiet dedication, warmth and willingness to help wherever needed have made a lasting impact on countless Panthers families.

We have been incredibly fortunate to have the Mollison family as part of the Morningside community. Their leadership, generosity and vision have helped shape one of the most significant periods of growth in our club’s history, leaving a legacy that will benefit generations of Panthers for years to come.

From everyone at Morningside, thank you, Angela and Mike, for everything you have given to our club. Your combined contribution spans over 50 years of dedicated service, and your impact will be felt for generations.

We wish you every happiness in this next chapter as you enjoy precious time with your family in Melbourne.

Once a Panther, always a Panther.

Mike and Angela will be at this week’s home game, so please take the opportunity to thank them personally for their incredible commitment, friendship and years of service to the mighty Panthers.

Angela & Mike Mollison ❤️🤍🖤
