Carly Goya Mother: Interview for the Mabel Foundation

Mabels Round at Jack Esplen Oval this Saturday the 9th of July with the Panthers Vs Aspley at 2 pm. The Morningside Panthers and Hawthorne Garage are proud to host Mabel's Round in support of the Mabel Olive Airi Foundation. The Foundation has been created to honour the life of Mabel Olive Airi Goya, who passed away as a result of pneumococcal meningitis on the 22nd of September, 2021. She was healthy, fully vaccinated, and just 6.5 months old. The foundations objective is to raise awareness of this devastating disease and to raise funds to help others.


As Mabel's mum Carly says; "We still cannot believe this happened to our beautiful daughter. She was joy, she was sunshine, and she didn't deserve this." The Foundation is how we tell the world Mabel’s story. This is how Mabel lives on. The charity that the Foundation fundraisers for are:


1. Meningitis Centre Australia - working to defeat meningitis through awareness, education and community support.
